Powerquest Auction, Business opportunity?

If you guys are interested, we'll be meeting them there at 11:00 AM tomorrow for mold reviews. Bids are open until 5:00PM tomorrow. Thye will have bid paperwork with them. I expect to spend around an hour there to look at the molds, and take pics, that they are interested in.

Let me know in the morning if you also want me to let them know you will be there.

Thanks,
already did dd on molds with potential buyer. we still have too many questions not answered.i think this sealed auction is a fealer for the 13, since the have the molds posted there and the molds in the shop are broken up that way.

Yeah, I don't get the sealed bids plus the molds being in the auction on next Tuesday also.

I was surprised at the size of the lots. I'm not sure why so many per lot?

The 30 twin step I was interested in, that was about it. But the lot it was with was half in terrible shape. If you were going to restart Powerquest, probably okay. If not, sure seemed like way too many molds in one lot to me.

they are scrambling to sell everything, building is sold and the contract has a move in date. look at how much you get if you buy the pallet racks, its the whole length with everything. I envision great lakes skipper coming in and buying alot. they buy left over inventory from fountain, baja, rinker...... The bank/attorney had not yet gotten back in contact with us, sad since the person whom i looked at it with has one of the longest history w the company and is probably one of only a couple that could reserect it.

Artie,
stuff inside is is good shape. stuff outside needs work. he knows the boats inside and out and the company. if you buy the molds and are going to make it a co again then you better be buying some of the offices. BOM, buildbooks, history,vendors.......... Thats what we were concerned with. Just makes thing easier.

Jamie , i agree on the shape of the molds outside ......with the exception of one or maybe two deck molds inside the building that could use a little more attention but then again that is my opinion , and personally i think purchasing some of the offices with the buildbooks , history , vendors ,ect ect ................................ is a very good idea .

Hey guys , i have been boxing up old Powerboat / Hot boat mags this morning and ran across an old 1994 P.Q. catalog along with a newer catalog that sports the 320 SC . inside the inner fold out cover wow ............what a difference from one catalog to the next .

Every time I see this title- "Business Opportunity", I get a chuckle.

If Cigarette were liquidating and they blew it all out with a no-reserve auction, that might be a business opportunity. Tough economy to try resurrecting a performance boat company.

He had a ? on the end.......

"Business Opportunity?"

Really?

Or you're just trying to get everything at a really cheeap price???????:sifone:
Yes to your first question ,and when i first saw the new auction date i thought it was a miss-print which apparently according to Jon is the new date scheduled for the Auction at this time .

Well, went down there yesterdy and met Jamie finally.

I did not get a single thing. We're trying to find out who the two big buyers were.....

Man, the more I think about this, the less of a business opportunity it appears to be......

Looks as if Claremont spent almost $217,000 for the items he purchased with the fees and taxes built in. I would assume there may be ways, depending on who they are, to eliminate some of those taxes. Unless they already own a boat building company and were interested in everything except the molds. Which is pretty much what he got.
