Boaters brawl...ROID RAGE!!!!!!

A 32-year-old Clinton Township man could face felonious assault charges after he was involved in a brawl involving a number of boaters on Muscamoot Bay in Lake St. Clair.

The suspect, whose name was withheld, was arrested Saturday afternoon and released pending further investigation, said St. Clair County Marine Patrol Lt. Dennis Maurey.

St. Clair County Sheriff's deputies, the U.S. Coast Guard, Clay Township police and state Department of Natural Resources officers were called to the bay to respond to reports of a large fight.

Maurey said some boaters were tossing a football back and forth and a female passenger on one vessel was hit. That ignited a fight involving three "body-builder" types, according to police.

The suspect allegedly struck both men and women with a pair of brass knuckles in his hand. One person suffered a broken nose and was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Maurey said investigators plan to review a passenger's videotape of the brawl before asking for arrest warrants to be issued.
